Original Productions
At Artists Amongst Us, we don’t just present art - we create it. Our original productions are at the heart of what makes us unique, blending performance, storytelling, and social impact into unforgettable experiences. Our work transforms urgent stories into living art that connects communities and sparks change.

Our flagship production, SOL Y LUNA is a 21st-century tango-theatre production that fuses Argentine roots with contemporary dance, live orchestra, and cosmic imagery. Moving through color, time, and migration, it tells diverse love stories that transcend culture and era. Blending passion, spirituality, and spectacle, the work reimagines tango as a modern stage experience of universal connection and transformation. Learn more

Our upcoming production invites audiences into the very last couples therapy session of the century, where Israel - played by a Palestinian actor - and Palestine - played by an Israeli actress - face the impossible question: separate, stay, or something in between? Guided by their weary therapist, representing the international community, the pair wrestles with love, grief, power, and the weight of shared history. Two States One Couch transforms political tension into intimate dialogue, revealing the humanity, absurdity, and fragile hope within one of the world’s most enduring conflicts. Learn more

Shadows of Hope
Shadows of Hope is a groundbreaking collaboration between sculptor Ira Sherman, storyteller and performer Noa Shapira, Choreographer Cynthia Giannini, and a team of musicians and designers, transforming stories of survival and resistance into visceral art. Featuring Sherman’s provocative “chastity couture” sculptures, original music, and Shapira’s narrative performance, the piece unfolds in three acts: revenge, protection, and revolution - creating an immersive journey through trauma, resilience, and collective power. More than a performance, Shadows of Hope is a living dialogue between art and justice, challenging audiences to witness, feel, and act.

The Human Experience
The Human Experience is an original, multi-sensory performance that weaved together vignettes of movement, sound, and storytelling to explore what it means to be human: feel, struggle, and connect. Each scene invites the audience into a different facet of our shared humanity - belonging, grief, hope, and resilience - through dance, live music, theater, and Tango. Premiered at the Denver Fringe Festival 2025, The Human Experience transforms everyday emotions into art that is raw, intimate, and universally resonant.

Songs of Life and Death
Performing as his theatrical persona Gio Bard Zero, he premiered Songs of Life and Death at the Ellie Caulkins Studio Loft in 2023, a production presented by Artists Amongst Us with support from a Denver Arts & Venues ARPA grant.

Themis the Goddess of Justice
Themis: The Goddess of Justice is our upcoming original production, a bold blend of myth, music, and contemporary storytelling. Drawing on the ancient figure of Themis, goddess of divine justice, this musical-theater reimagines Her voice in today’s world - where questions of equity, gender, and power still demand urgent attention. With humor, spectacle, and a chorus of justice itself, Themis promises to be both entertaining and provocative, inviting audiences to laugh, reflect, and envision a more just future.
